Playing with a 32 degrees paintball gun is an altogether different experience as compared to playing with your regular, run of the mill paintball marker.

The 32 degrees PT Extreme paintball gun is a pistol and using a pistol for a game of paintball allows you to save money on paint. It is also rather undersized and with a small profile, allowing you to carry it easier while in play. Using a pistol for a paintball game can serve as a great backup for your main marker.

One disadvantage of using a pistol for a paintball game is that it requires you to reload your marker rather frequently. Pistols require you to reload after every 10 shots, a far cry from a typical paintball marker. A pistol’s range is also rather limited, having only a range that measures to a maximum of tens of feet instead of the hundreds.

The price of a 32 degree PT Extreme pistol ranges from $ 105 to 120. A 32 degrees paintball gun is of a semi-automatic type, with a 10 round feed capacity and needs a 12 gram CO2 air tank. This gun has a quick release cartridge.

The PT Extreme pistol’s capabilities will be discussed in terms of the shooting range and accuracy, the kind of care and maintenance needed to keep the gun in good condition, the accessories available for the gun and the upgrades available.

Range and Accuracy:
The PT Extreme is a great weapon for encounters within a close range, much like any other paintball pistol. It has an average rate of balls per second but still has the disadvantage of the frequent reloading. The PT Extreme also uses up a 12 gram air tank for every 15 – 30 shots. Some users of the PT Extreme have also reported chopping and a continuous low velocity.

Care and Maintenance:

A lot of PT Extreme owners have reported leakage problems and malfunctioning springs. The air leakage can be quite a hassle considering the gun only supports 12 grams of air. The bolt of the PT Extreme has also been found to warp. However, despite the few design flaws in this paintball gun, it is still rather easy to take apart, clean and put back together again.

Gun Accessories:
Accessories are a great way to make the use of your PT Extreme, or any gun for that matter, easier. You can purchase a wrist pack for use in carrying your extra 12 gram air tank. There are also extra magazines available or 10 round tubes for use in reloading paint faster. You can also purchase a holster to hold your pistol and the extra paint you are carrying around.

Gun Upgrades:
The only upgrade that can be considered even halfway decent for this paintball gun is a new barrel. One can make the argument that you can upgrade your PT Extreme with a hopper and a bottomline, but that would be defeating the purpose of purchasing a pistol type gun in the first place. On the other hand, if you have grown tired of having to change your 12 gram air tank all the time, then you can opt to purchase a smaller 3 or 4 oz CO2 and use it with your gun. You can put the line backwards so the tank is positioned below the PT Extreme instead of behind the gun.

If you do want to get a pistol, you can get a pistol type paintball gun for about the same price as the PT Extreme, but with slightly better features. However, if you are in the market for a regular paintball gun, you can purchase a regular semi-automatic marker with good features for about the same price as the PT Extreme.
